You may have seen this urgent appeal from the Hopeless Maine Scientific Society during our recent online festival.
The society remains desperately short of members, and particularly needs help with its new investigation into whether it is possible to miss the ground when jumping from a roof.
The parameters of that investigation require further clarification. I’m sure the ground could be avoided if one jumped from one roof to another near by roof…
This sounds like an excellent sort of experiment….
If you were to jump and instead of hitting the ground, found yourself falling into a massive sinkhole?
Ha! excellent!
