We sing – often in four part harmony – a mix of traditional, original and interestingly sourced material. Shows are 45 minutes to an hour, and mix script and storytelling to give a flavour of life on the imaginary island. We work well in folk and steampunk settings, we’ve also been to a theatre festival and a Goblin Masquerade.
The shows are designed to be delivered as in the photo below – we don’t need a lot of space and are easy to amplify. If the space is suitable we can work acoustically.
We can just turn up and sing if shorter sets are required or its more of a busking scenario.

Alongside the shows, we can also offer scratch theatre – especially for steampunk events. We can turn up with a plan, pull together a team and involve whoever happens to be around on the day. Our scratch theatre tends to be anarchic and entertaining, requires little work and can be made to fit any space. Below is a photo of a Hopeless Maine scratch theatre team in Gloucester 2021.

Our prices are negotiable. Ideally you need to be able to accommodate us and cover our transport costs as well as giving us some space to sell stuff. We’re based in Gloucestershire and the further we are from the shire we are, the more expensive we need to be. However, we’re open to negotiation. If you’d like to talk to us about an event, email brynnethnimue @ gmail . com – taking the spaces out first.
